2025 and Beyond

The Blessing Pantry @ Randleman First Wesleyan

About Us

The Blessing Pantry is a ministry of Randleman First Wesleyan that helps connect the church with the community in hopes of providing food and nourishment to those going through harder times and seasons. Our goal is to create a loving and warm environment that values our neighbors as image bearers of God. We have helped feed over 1,000 community members since beginning in 2024.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.” – Matthew 25:35

“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40

“He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry.” – Psalm 146:7

“If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?” – James 2:15–16

Goals

  • Corporate Sponsorship: Explore naming rights opportunities with large corporations.
  • Business Sponsorships: Seek financial donations and host food drives with customer incentives (e.g., discounts for donations).
  • Church Partnerships: Invite local churches to sponsor a week monthly and support pantry needs.
  • School Partnerships: Partner with schools and clubs to raise awareness and collect food donations.

Our 2025 vision is to build long-term partnerships that sustain the Blessing Pantry as a vital community resource for years to come.

The Facts

What is Food Insecurity?
Defined by the USDA as limited access to enough food for an active, healthy life, food insecurity contributes to health and social challenges. Causes include poverty, unemployment, and financial instability. Solutions include food assistance and economic support.

Why this matters: Understanding the reality of food insecurity helps us respond with compassion and action, just as the early church did.
